Novemeber 4
So today's post is about November 4ths class this past Tuesday. Well, this day started out horrific...I couldn't find where I was supposed to vote so I drove in circles for about one hour and then was late to my math class, but as I exited the elevator I saw my teacher outside since apparently there was a firedrill...weird to have in college but whatever. Anyway, today's class started out wonderful since we were informed that we did better on the exams than we thought, which is fabulous news to me. (currently struggling to type since napoleon feels the need to keep walking on my keyboard and licking my computer screen) I enjoyed learning about certain parts of the e-commerce architecture. I worked for Wells Fargo for 3 years and this section helped to explain how some of the electronic banking system works. I used to get frustrated at the computer but this helped to explain it a little bit. I thought listening to the news report about robots playing music was just plain weird. I mean why on earth would you want to listen to a robot play music, that just seems boring to me, I would much rather listen and watch a live person play music. Owell, some people are strange. Reading about how to manage a web store was also pretty interesting. I know a few people who have clothing stores online and restaurants where you can order food online and what not, so to me this was rather interesting. I think serving customers and doing it with tact and energy is the number one rule. You need to constantly be available to them and able to assist them quickly with their online purchases in order to keep loyal customers that will continue to come back and turn into repeat customers. I think this was one of the most confusing sections that we have had...I feel like a lot of the terms are really similar but have very different meanings. I am currently studying and find myself struggling to try and keep straight which ones are which. Well I'm done for now I need to keep studying.

I agree that this school (and business schools in general) do not place nearly enough emphasis on satisfying and delighting customers; if it weren't for happy customers, a business would quickly go bankrupt....
